ARoS The Next Level - Shells for James Turrell's The Dome arrive at ARoS

The first shells for James Turrell's The Dome have arrived at ARoS Aarhus Art Museum.
The 20-meter-long fibreglass shells were installed with great precision, and The Dome is slowly beginning to take shape.

In total, 30 shells, which together will form the impressive artwork The Dome – the world's largest skyspace – will be installed over the upcoming months.

ARoS – The Next Level is the result of an inspiring artistic collaboration with world-renowned artist James Turrell, ARoS and Aarhus Municipality's ambitious vision for the museum's further development, a highly skilled team, including Per Aarsleff, and donations from Ny Carlsberg Foundation, Salling Group, and an anonymous individual.

As the architects behind the original ARoS building, Olafur Eliasson's Your Rainbow Panorama, and now ARoS – The Next Level, we have been involved from the beginning, and we are both grateful and proud to continue to contribute to the museum's and Aarhus's visions for ARoS' ongoing development.
