Hasle Linje is a new retail and housing development in Oslo. The design proposal aims at preserving the existing building's strong industrial identity. The current building has a closed and compact structure and the cross form is not fit for housing due to its depth, which will not allow views, daylight and exterior spaces. Therefore, the cross-formed building will be demolished and replaced by two residential towers on an open site, creating a vibrant and inviting exterior space with social areas and common activities will be created around the towers.
