Vilharia, a new large-scale office development in Ljubljana, has officially opened, bringing together flexible workplaces, generous green spaces and a strong focus on well-being, adaptability and community.
Schmidt Hammer Lassen Partner Mads Kaltoft joined the official opening celebration of Vilharia, which has been designed to respond to changing ways of working while contributing positively to the life of the city around it.
Generous glazing and high ceilings bring daylight deep into the office floors, while natural ventilation supports a healthy indoor environment. The modular design allows workplaces to adapt to different organisational structures and evolving needs over time.
More than 2,000 m² of green and active rooftop areas extend the workplace outdoors, creating spaces for work, meetings, recreation and informal encounters. The landscape also supports rainwater retention, biodiversity and the local microclimate through pollinator-friendly planting and beehives.
The ambition has been to rethink what an office building can contribute not only to the people who use it, but also to the wider urban environment.
Vilharia was developed in collaboration with client Corwin.
