We are proud to share that two of our recently completed projects have been announced as winners of the The Chicago Athenaeum Museum for Architecture and Design International Architecture Awards 2025!

The awards, in their 20th year, presented in conjunction with the Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies is the oldest and most prestigious global architecture prize, highlighting new and groundbreaking design from around the world. An international jury of prominent designers have selected this year’s winners from a shortlist of over 500 projects!

The Beijing Performing Arts Center was announced as a winner in the Civic Architecture category, and Shenzhen Energy Ring the sole winner in the Energy category!

Beijing Performing Arts Center was designed in collaboration with Perkins&Will and Beijing Institute of Architectural Design and landscape concept by SLA. Consisting of three world-class venues – an opera house, a theater, and a concert hall – as well as a multipurpose hall and outdoor stage, the complex will host hundreds of performances each year from traditional Chinese and Western operas to orchestral performances, stage dramas, and dances.

Shenzhen Energy Ring was in collaboration with Gottlieb Paludan Architects and landscape by EDSA and fully completed in 2024 following a 9-year process. The 2 million square foot plant was one of the first Industrial buildings in China to achieve LEED Gold, with a 18,000 square foot photovoltaic array generating 3.6 million kWh of electricity beyond the 1.2 billion kWh generated from incinerating 5,000 tons of domestic garbage per day.
