We are proud to be among the four prequalified teams for Fabrikken in Brønderslev.
Since the 19th century, Brønderslev has grown around the Pedershaab ironworks, which is recognized as a regional industrial landmark on Denmark’s national industrial heritage map. Today, as production has moved out of the historical buildings, new possibilities emerge to transform the site into a vibrant cultural hub.
Centrally located in the North Jutland town, the factory area offers a unique setting where heritage meets future potential. With great respect for the industrial architecture and legacy of the larger Kulturområde Hedelund, the vision is to create a local melting pot of culture, community, and culinary experiences—while preserving and reinterpreting the site’s distinctive history. Sustainability will be a key focus in both the transformation and future operation of the area.
The repurposed factory will house a museum, theatre, cultural school, cinema, and eatery. The project also aims to strengthen connections within Brønderslev’s town centre and serve as a catalyst for future development.
We look forward to continuing the collaboration with the many stakeholders involved in this exciting project.
