Inauguration and opening of New Hvidovre Hospital

On October 24th, Danish Minister of Health, Sophie Løhde cut the red ribbon and officially inaugurated the New Hvidovre Hospital building, Center A.

The new Center A welcomed the first patients on November 3rd, with equipment being transferred from the Emergency Department, Emergency X-ray and Scanning Unit, the Department for Children and Adolescents, the Cardiology Department, and the Maternity Ward.

Center A encompasses 43,000 inviting square meters, featuring 244 attractive single rooms with space for family members and numerous green oases between departments, creating a bright, open, and welcoming atmosphere.

With the opening of the New Hvidovre Hospital, we are pleased to have contributed to comfort, safety and dignity for patients and their families, as well as improved working conditions for the staff.
