In the motivational statement from the Jury it is emphasized that he “with his thorough knowledge, as to how architecture affects us, has enriched our surroundings with his thoughts and architecture. Kim Holst Jensen is always open and ready to meet challenges in his search for creating something new and surprising. Something that points to the future – and that provides food for thought.”
Kim Holst Jensen has worked for schmidt hammer lassen architects since 1991 and became partner in 1997. His main projects include Nykredit’s head office, its extension the Crystal, Halmstad Library and DGI sports centre.
The three founding partners in schmidt hammer lassen architects Morten Schmidt, Bjarne Hammer and John F. Lassen were awarded the Eckersberg Medal in 1999 for the projects Katuaq Culture Centre in Nuuk and Stibo Data in Aarhus.
