Description:
KMPG’s new headquarters is a high-rise building intimately conjoined with the city’s new shopping centre, Bruun’s Galleri, and it occupies a unique location at the heart of Aarhus.
From the 17-storey high building of glass and aluminium there are panoramic views of the city, the forests and the sea, stretching as far as the eye can reach. A simple and transparent glazed façade contributes to the airy feel of the office landscape and ensures that all work stations are in contact with the wider environment.
KMPG has adopted a shared service operating model, which means that the reception and canteen as well as the meeting and conference rooms and other common functions are shared by all. Somewhat atypically, these facilities are all situated at the top levels so that staff and visitors alike can relish for the full sense of height and the distinctiveness of the location. The entrance area is on the eastern side, where the building stands free of the shopping centre, enabling the appreciation of the grace and elegance of the svelte, rectangular form.
