Description:
Bruun’s Gallery is a shopping centre uniquely situated in the heart of Aarhus, adjacent to the bridge M. P. Bruuns Bro and Aarhus Central Station. The centre contains shops, cafés, restaurants and a cinema – thus offering a variety of entertainment and shopping options as well as venues for recreation and socialising.
Architectonically, Bruun’s Gallery exemplifies industrial chic. A solid base of natural stone runs like a frieze around the complex and is topped by volumes of glass and steel. The transparent façades offer deep vistas into the complex, and the glazed roof allows natural light to flood the spacious open foyer, while the softened lines of the spaces gently enclose visitors.
Directly connected to the centre is the city’s new iconic landmark, the KMPG building, whose seventeen storeys incorporate offices, shops, residences and parking. Its central location assures Bruun’s Gallery a unique synergistic relationship with central Aarhus and the city infrastructure.
